I decided to move Casey and Ethan into the foster room today. They’ve been spending their evenings playing with [mostly] Baloo and Raksha and it’s gone well.
Originally, the plan was to move them for the day but still have them sleep in the bathroom at night. However, this is cat rescue and things rarely go as planned. A HUGE rescue list came out on Friday evening. By Saturday morning, all the kittens had been moved into foster care but the adults remained. On a holiday weekend. During peak summer vacation time. π¦
Meet Bella. Poor girl’s been bounced around a bit the last week or so. And she’s not happy about it. I’m mostly leaving her alone to settle though I check on her regularly and spent some time reading to her. She likes the bathtub — especially hiding under the shower curtain. Really hoping she’ll calm down. She’s not under quarantine, so maybe we can get her to join the evening rumpus! And it doesn’t show here but she’s GORGEOUS!
Meanwhile, in the foster room:
I don’t think there are any objections to the move!!
Even Baloo seems happy. Despite having to share her mom, she loooooves having playmates — ones who aren’t too rough (I’m looking at you, Ace!)
PSA: Toronto Cat Rescue is quite desperate for foster homes! If you’re in the area and have ever considered it, NOW is the time. Just visit the website and fill out the form.
Oh they are adorable!! Hope Bella settles in quickly…
