Surprise!

Meet Percy:

Photo courtesy of his caregivers, before he came to TCR.

This gorgeous hunk of love is eight- to ten-years old and was abandoned when his owner died and the owner’s daughter dumped him on the street. (Deep breath.) He was being cared for by the staff of the hotel where he was dumped. They couldn’t bring him into the hotel but they made a safe place for him and gave him lots of love and attention. And contacted TCR about his plight. He was brought to one of our vets for a full check up.

Sadly, Percy has kidney disease. We’ll post him, but he probably won’t get adopted — despite the senior’s “voluntary” adoption fee. So if you know anyone …

He was pretty scared when he first arrived, though I did get some awesome purring out of him later. I gather he’s already stolen the hearts of the vet staff (York Mills) and the volunteer who’s been driving him around (picked him up and took him to the vet and also delivered him here). I’ve already been given orders to supply lots of photos “once he’s established”. 🙂

And relax Kelly and Brigitte; I’m waaaay below the record number of cats I’ve looked after.

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, are in the photo. Little Blue was a foster kitten I kept. All were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.

Does the kidney disease mean that he has accidents?

Hi Heather, I left a message this morning about Percy. Do you think he would fit in here? Call me, 705 3573898, if you think it would be successful. I am very good with a needle!
