I took the kittens to work when mama wasn’t feeling well. They had a couple of really good feeds thanks to help from my co-workers. When I got home Vivien was clearly feeling better. She had eaten just about everything I left out for her and was asking for more! I fed the kittens again that evening. However, the next morning, although they all ran out to greet me, they clearly weren’t as interested in syringe feeding. Fine by me!

They are a pretty advanced litter, in my opinion. Spencer is quite keen on straight canned food. Some of them are using the litterbox! (All are leaving the nest to toilet.) But the funniest was Jimmy. I was in trying to get them to eat from a plate. Jimmy wasn’t interested but wandered over to the water dish. He got a snout-full and proceeded to march up and down in front of the dish hissing!! 😀 But he tried again and a few minutes later he was lapping it up like a big boy.

They backslid a little over the weekend; I was busy and clearly, even though Vivien is feeling so much better, she still doesn’t have enough milk (and energy) for six. So Monday I took four to work, leaving two with Vivien. Moderate improvements but Tuesday I decided to take all six to work. It’s just so much easier to make sure they’re getting good feeds there! And besides, it may be the only way I get photos!
