I was sitting at the computer, looked and noticed the kittens at my feet. “Awwww … they want to be close to me!” Then I looked again:

Bella was visiting last week. At first the kittens were terrified, but then as she did her thing (being afraid of kittens!) they got more brave. By the end of the week they were trying to steal her food (they would have been successful but I intervened) and sitting above her on the couch, trying to intimidate her.
