Fostering is fun!

I just need to keep telling myself that. I came home last night to vomit in the front hall — including on one of my shoes. (Ok, not the fosters’ fault — probably — most likely Jonesy. But it sets a tone.)

When I went in the foster room there was also vomit. They’ve been vomiting since I moved them in there. I started them on some stronger dewormer two days ago and hopefully we’ll see some results soon. I was worried about their appetites, too. They weren’t what I’d like them to be. So tonight I brought home the stinkiest food I could get. Whether it was the meds kicking in or the food or a combination; they cleaned the plate!! I’ll make sure I buy that one again. Maybe keep it in my “arsenal”.

I went in to give them their meds and noticed a smell. Upon investigation, this little guy:

Sheldon

had the biggest lump of poo stuck to his back end. Seriously, I’ve never seen anything like it when there’s been no diarrhea! So he had to endure the indignity of a butt bath. It took quite a while to get it all off and he was really, pretty good. I wrapped him up and had a bit of a cuddle before putting him back. You can see his tail is still a little spikey in the photo. 😉  And he totally forgave me when I went back in — until the camera flash started to go off.
