Of Crazy Cats and Toilets

When I first got Murphy he fell in the toilet — twice! Not the best jumper he miscalculated on the way to the sink. From then on the house rule is toilet seat down. Always. And it is. Unless it’s in use! The other day I had to pee — as one does. A certain someone has made me aware, in the last couple of weeks, that I have to be fast putting the lid down again. This time I was too slow. I heard the splash and before I knew it Miss Dixie was hightailing it out of the bathroom, shaking her paws with every step. Of course I had just cleaned the floors. I quickly grabbed her, took her back to the bathroom, rinsed her off, and locked her in while I cleaned the hallway floor. Then I toweled her up (which she LOVED) to dry her off and, finally, went back and cleaned the bathroom floor — again.
