Remember Chaz-now-Chester? The fearful, over-grooming, didn’t-get-along-with-the-other-cat Chaz? He had his three month adoption anniversary recently so I asked for an update.
Chester is doing great. He’s like a completely different cat now. He didn’t really know how to snuggle when we first brought him home but he loves snuggles and butt pats now!We found a good chicken-free wet food that he loves and he and Maggie get along pretty well for the most part. He definitely tuckers her out! He has a habit of nipping her when she gets too close or when he’s trying to play with her.We took him to Prince Edward County over the Easter weekend and he got a little motion sick but really loved being out in the country. He chats with us all the time and doesn’t like any closed doors. We’re learning lots about him. He’s a funny little twerp We love him.
And I immediately got an update on Sparkles/Sophia:
Just wanted to let you know that our family adopted Sophia yesterday from Pet Valu. We have 3 small girls – who have been very gentle with her. Sophia is getting lots of love and she was shy for about 30 mins when we brought her home – but quickly adapted to her new home. She’s explored the house quite a bit and 2 of my daughters slept with her last night. She’s eating well and seems quite happy.
