Surprise!

I don’t know why I even attempt to plan my weekends!

The intake list went out Friday night. I resisted. I want to have only Jasmine for now. Then Saturday morning the exact same list was posted. No one was taken Friday night — on a long weekend. So I went and took TWO. Only because they’re both due for dental work next week. They have to go back to the clinic and only ONE of them is coming home with me after that. Given the energy level around here lately, I suspect it will be Arthur. Granton, adorable as he is, is a little too rambunctious for us right now. And he nips. He’ll need an experienced foster to curb that unwelcome behaviour.

Believe it or not, according to their paperwork, Granton is older. They’re both strays, brought to Toronto with another group from London Animal Care Centre. (‘Cause we don’t have enough out-of-town cats to rescue right now!) Arthur’s been there since the end of November, Granton since mid-December. I don’t understand; they’re both sweet, affectionate, well-adjusted cats!

Arthur is acting like he hasn’t slept properly since November. Just eats and sleeps; loves the bed! Granton has all the energy that neither Jasmine nor Arthur are using!

You will have your share of energy once those kittens are born. It is nice to have some relaxed cats until then. Good on you for stepping up! As you say, it is only a little while. They look like beautiful cats!!
