The kittens seem to be responding really well to the meds! It’s hard to tell because they were active and happy before. But litter box evidence shows a dramatic improvement. I managed some pictures on their last night of the really awful stuff:
She’s really so sweet. When Molly gets hers, she just wants to run away. With Polly, she turns to climb up me for cuddles — which I don’t allow. Look at her!
Good news for health, bad news for socialization. The medicine really tastes so terrible that Molly runs when she sees me coming. 😦 I’m trying to make a concerted effort to go in and play at non-medicine times but it’s tough when you’re feeling like crap. Polly, of course, doesn’t care. I’m back to my theory that the happy-go-lucky ones just aren’t very bright. 😉 Lovable and sweet in spades but not very smart. Unfortunately, the smart ones figure out and recognize all the tricks. Even going in to play, it takes a few minutes before Molly would take the bait and play with the wand toy. I try to include petting and holding (with no nasty medicine side effects) in these sessions but she never did like that much.
