Awwww …

I lay down in front of Chaz, who was in his new favourite spot perched on top of one of the couch cushions …

Chaz has been vomiting — food not bile — so I think he has a hairball issue. Especially given his over-grooming history. Hallelujah! He likes the hairball medicine I have. I can just put some on a plate and he snarfs it down. Finally, something went the easy way.

He also came and snuggled on me for the first time. Nice! He’s a sweet boy who, once he settled, likes to spend his time with me.

And he’s posted. It’s absolutely confirmed that he doesn’t like dogs. Bella came for an afternoon visit and I had to put him in the bedroom. Puffing, hissing, stalking. There is no room for doubt!

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, are in the photo. Little Blue was a foster kitten I kept. All were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.

  1. Glad he’s finally settling in! It’s weird about dogs though…When we got Sophie, she hated Eddie and would hiss and swipe and go the other direction when he came near (he’s a 20lb terrier). She’s never warmed up to him. But we dogsit for my mom occasionally and she is completely fine with Cleo, who is a 60lb lab mix. So it could just be the dog? Btw, Eddi has never done a thing to Sophie. He’s actually afraid of her now.
