How many is too many?

Apparently five. At least when it’s 11-week-old kittens!!

I realized I’ve never had this many, this old. Talk about a herd! It sounds like they’re moving furniture around in the kitten room. The internet and phone are constantly being turned off as they climb around and step on the power bar button. The lamp has been knocked over a number of times — luckily the bulb only broke once. Tavi-the-wonder-cat’s photo got knocked down so many times I finally put it away. Twice I’ve come in to find a shelf cleared of books. And even though they’re older, and have mostly been good with the litter box, it didn’t stop someone from pooping on the floor!

I over-estimated their size when I let them out to run around. FOUR of them ended up under the couch! I’ve had to dig out the pool noodles again.

After their taste of freedom the other day, they won’t stop banging on the door and digging at the flooring to get out!

  1. Sounds like quite a handful! And what a brave kitty in a stare down with the dog!

  2. we think that the noise kittens make has more to do with the number of paws than combined weight….cause boy can they make some serious noise 🙂

Once they know they have more room, there is no taking it away from them
