Another sex scandal

Baloo is a girl!

Like Birch, when little Baloo got to the vet for surgery they discovered “he” was a “she”. She’s so skittish, I never checked. Just took it on faith. They went ahead with her spay and she’s fine and resting at home.

The new ones (still four!) are doing well. I’m kind of stunned how well. The way little B&W’s eyes were the first night I thought we had a long battle ahead of us. Today? They’re both feeling well enough to battle against the drops. 🙂  And their eyes look pretty normal.

But stink? Holy smokes. Took a fecal sample in today and I am just praying it’s not coccidia.  If it’s not, I’ll give them a bath — even Hamish at his worst didn’t smell like that. If it is coccidia, there doesn’t seem much point until we’ve gotten rid of it. 😦  At least they all use the litter box well. That’s where the crate comes in handy. They’re so close to the box. But it’s really not enough room. Hopefully, the two will leave soon and it’ll be better. I console myself that if they were in a store or at a clinic they wouldn’t have more room.

Ginger boy is a bully! Always picking on the little girls. It doesn’t help that Tortie is a drama queen (of course) and squeals bloody murder on a regular basis.
