Mid-week bits and pieces

Linden is adopted!

Cedar doesn’t want to go to bed when the “babies” go to bed! The other night, I locked them up and fed them their bedtime meal. The Wee Ones went to sleep quickly after eating but Cedar cried and cried until I let her out to play some more.

Magnolia and Cherry are fearless. Which means a lot of falls but they just pick up and walk away. Cedar has reached that stage when if she does something clumsy or dumb she immediately sits down and furiously grooms a leg. Hee.

Cherry and Cedar (especially) are purr boxes and seek out snuggles and attention. Magnolia still refuses to purr but will accept some snuggles.

And just look at this gorgeous boy!

IMG_4965Pete is 18 years old! His owner died and he — luckily — ended up with us. His face is sweet as a kitten’s, but his body has been ravaged by hyperthyroidism. He’s on medication now and, with luck, we’ll manage to get some meat on his old bones. He’s in introduction quarantine for now though, hopefully, not for long. We don’t know what the cards hold for Pete but he’s safe here for as long as he needs.

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have two cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, in the photo. Both were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.

  1. He’ll get a warmer welcome from me if this morning’s 4am wake up call (literally) was a one-off! Settling in jitters, I hope. 😉

  2. Glad Pete is with you. He’s in great hands! Yay for Linden!
