Friday the 13th

Sometime early this morning Murphy crawled into bed with me and started eating my pyjamas. OK, chewing. He wouldn’t stop! At one point I turned away from him and he started digging under my leg from hip to ankle, working his way down then going back to the beginning. What the hell was that??

Then I heard coughing. Coughing that turned into gagging. Which resulted in Jonesy having a spectacular vomit from the top of the cat tree! It hit the edge of one of the lower levels of the tree and sprayed out from there. Fortunately (hope you’ve had your breakfast) it was not one of his more … liquid barfs. A hairball and undigested kibble. Easier to clean up and not quite as much spray.

I went into the bathroom to get paper to clean up the barf and the entire (almost brand new) roll had been unrolled into the litter box!!! At least I could still use it to clean up the vomit.

After the clean up, my shower, and getting dressed it was time to prepare breakfast. Of course there were stray poops to clean up in the kitten room and most of the kittens were uninterested in breakfast. Percy was completely uninterested in his — he wanted Murphy’s kibble! He’s shown no interest in kibble (as far as I know) up to this point. And it’s not good for him.

Yesterday was a hard day (post coming) and I didn’t need all this drama this morning. Friday the 13th, indeed!

And it’s raining.
