Mei is adopted!

It happened pretty quickly. I think her post appeared on the website late on Wednesday*. On Thursday evening I got a call from the adoption counsellor that someone was very keen. I warned the adopters that I was going away for the weekend but they wanted to come on Saturday anyway so we booked for early Saturday and I postponed leaving by a couple of hours.

Both Mei and Lou ran right up to the absolutely lovely Marc & Chyanne, when they arrived, purring their little heads off. How lovely you ask? They immediately wanted to adopt Lou, as well, because they didn’t want to separate them and leave Lou alone. I told them not to worry about Lou — she’d be adopted in no time — and while they got along fine, they certainly weren’t bonded. If they had really wanted her, we’d have made it work. But I didn’t want them to take her just because they felt sorry for her. 😉 Sure enough, Saturday afternoon there was an inquiry and approval for Lou. We haven’t met the adopter yet, because I was away, but we’re working on it.

*for some reason Lou’s post didn’t appear until Friday.

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have two cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, in the photo. Both were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.
