Let me out!

I’ve been trying to capture the cacophony and chaos when the kittens want out of their room. I see this all the time:

Eva. The part she's standing on is almost the same height as the window pane.

Eva (unfortunately the bevel in the glass runs right across her eyes)

The part she’s standing on is nearly the same height as the window pane. And I’ve seen how she (and others) get up. They don’t climb or scramble; they leap and throw themselves at the window, grabbing the top ledge and hanging on for dear life! 🙂

This noise (recorded near bedtime) is minor; the real symphony is when I get home from work.

And then there’s the stampede (with bonus Gabby-swimming-upstream action):

I have to tie the door shut again. Eva and Mei will dig and/or throw themselves at the door until it opens. They are the smallest now, weighing less than two pounds (they’re still under 800g), and they can open the door. And people scoff at the idea of calico attitude!
