… some aren’t as much fun. I got another picture of Bree:
She suddenly greeted her family one morning, looking like this! That’s her third lid, swollen and covering her eye. THREE trips to the vet later she’s improving.
Her family thinks it may have been a wasp. (I’ve had two cat vs. wasp encounters over the years — they’re not fun.) There are plenty of reasons for the third lid to do this — especially in kittens. Most of them seem to fix with time.
Even with a wonky eye she’s still such a pretty girl! I teased her family that it’s too bad it wasn’t her “patch” eye — then she’d really be a pirate. 😉
But even this kind of update is welcome; it’s real life and it’s still being able to know what’s happened to these creatures who were such a big part of my life.
