Great day/week!

Claire has been posted on the website! I discussed it with my foster coordinator and she’s made so much progress the last few days that we decided to give it a try. Sarah said “Be honest — you never know who’s out there.” She’s not really pet-able yet; I can push it sometimes. But she’s so much more comfortable just being around me. And, of course, she likes the other cats. We’ll see.

Arthur is healthy! And he’s been posted.

Although my “in” for the website tells me there are a LOT of new listings. That means lots of competition. 😦

Abigail has someone coming to see her on Saturday. Fingers crossed.

Late Sunday I got a bit of an update and some new photos of Nina (Mandy).

Early Monday I got an update and a photo of Bree.

She’s clearly terrified in her new home! 😉 (photo courtesy of her new family)

And in non-cat news, a friend took me to the first night of the PanAm Games swimming finals!! (Besides cat-fostering I’m a competitive swimmer, though I’m not with a club right now.) It was fantastic. The Canadian women were outstanding — three-for-three gold medal swims and two of them were heart-poundingly exciting until the last touch at the wall! The crowd — on its feet — was so loud I couldn’t hear myself yelling or whistling. The men did well, too, and we medalled in all six events. Beautiful brand new venue!

All-in-all a good week!

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have two cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, in the photo. Both were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.
