Ssshhhhh …

… we’re bending the rules again. On Friday, TCR took 16 cats from London again. They’d already had their health quarantine and were fully socialized, again. Because they should be able to be posted immediately and put in stores as soon as there’s room, the two-cage rule was waived for me and I offered to take Abigail.

Abigail is a sweet-natured, pretty, buff and white little girl. She’s a year old and has already had kittens. She is extremely affectionate and likes nothing better than to be held and cuddled. She’s also the ONLY one of all 16 cats who arrived with the sniffles. Seriously?? She would have been in what I call “behavioural” quarantine for a day or two; the usual sensible introduction protocol. But now she has to stay until her sniffles are gone and she does not like it. She’s clearly social and being alone is tough on her. Fortunately, her cold isn’t bad; just a stuffy nose and the occasional sneeze. I’m steaming her regularly and giving her l-lysine. I hope it’ll just be a few days.

Another one who won't hold still!
