No more bottles! Just in time. The last can of formula only has about a teaspoon in it.
Mandy is still suffering from diarrhea, likely worm-induced. Unfortunately, there’s nothing much we can do to treat it until she gets bigger. I can alleviate her symptoms (keep her clean, try diaper rash cream on her little butt) but other than that all I can do is feed her frequently to try and fatten her up. She’s a funny little thing and her “calico-ness” is becoming more apparent every day. It’s adorable. First, biting the vet. Then the other day when I was feeding her I wasn’t fast enough; she started eating from the can and gave me a good smack when I tried to take it away. Then she got her teeth latched on to the edge of the can and wouldn’t let go. Though oddly enough, Mac seems to be the fiercest. I heard growling the other day and was shocked; Claire hisses almost every time I come in the room, but she’s never growled at me. It went on and on until I realized it wasn’t Claire — it was Mac! He’s very possessive of his toys and will growl at the other kittens. He had one of the fuzzy/crinkly balls in his mouth. I took it away from him and he was startled, but didn’t growl. I’m going to have to keep an eye on that. I want him to know that he has to allow people to take things away from him. It might be cute when he’s a kitten, but I guarantee it won’t be when he’s full grown!
