A new addition!

Meet Arthur! (his paperwork says “Art” but he assures me it’s Arthur)

IMG_3203Twelve and a half kilograms (27.5 pounds!!!) of sweet.

He barely fits in the window!

He barely fits in the window!

He’s only here for a bit. He just needs a place to hang out until the mega adoption event. He only lasted the one night in the bathroom (no health quarantine required). I was worried; he’s clearly an outdoor cat and so big. He was only neutered four days ago. (Ew. Stinky pee!) I was afraid he’d be aggressive with my boys. But no worries. He barely notices them. Even when they hiss at him (Jonesy!)

He cried all night and this morning, so I when Murphy was sniffing at the bathroom door, I opened it a crack to see what would happen. Nothing. So he’s been out all morning. Sadly, he just sits in the window and cries. He’s quite affectionate; likes being petted. I’m hoping when his hormones settle down a bit, he’ll be more receptive to an indoor life!

(Brigitte, you can’t have him — he’d have Zola for a snack!)

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have two cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, in the photo. Both were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.

Zola? What about the kittens? Has he seen them yet?
With 9 cats in your place, you have now officially moved into the Crazy Cat Lady category.

Lol. He peeked in the window and, big as he is, immediately backed away. Claire, the “casual” mom, was at that window, beating it with her little fists!! He won’t look in there again anytime soon.
