Restful? Think again!

I thought it would be a quiet, restful weekend trying to bond with Claire a bit. HA!

At the last minute we decided to put Cora in an adoption event on Saturday. She really blossomed once she was out of Archie’s shadow. Friday night, I got a call that someone was interested in her from the website (it never rains, but it pours!). Lara was there even before the start of the event and Cora is now in her new home and was apparently exploring as soon as she got there. She’ll be an only kitty with all the attention lavished on her.

As soon as I got home I received an email that Leah is finally eating on her own, YAY! and  the vet wants her in foster care for the weekend, back in the clinic on Monday. Would I take her. Of course. But there went my relaxing weekend out the window! The bathroom needed to be cleaned, new litter box put in, a nice bed arranged for her. And scrambling to do laundry — it’s in the bathroom and I want to disturb her as little as possible. One of our great drivers brought her mid-afternoon. She’s certainly not out of the woods yet, but she’s making progress. I was hoping to get a picture, but she’s too scared. Maybe later.

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have two cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, in the photo. Both were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.
