Something new

I’ve had a lot of cats, I’ve seen a lot. But this morning I saw something I haven’t seen before. I was working in the kitchen and heard a funny noise, turned, and there was Archie hanging by his front paws from the open cutlery drawer. Back legs just swinging in the air! I grabbed him, just as he was dropping back to the floor. At this rate I’m going to have start wearing a helmet cam or glasses cam.

Last night I wasn’t paying enough attention and he ran right in to the bathroom to “his” bed!! Poor Cora didn’t know what to do, which way to turn. I grabbed him and tossed him out, but had to comfort Cora and assure her that he wasn’t coming back. He didn’t do anything — he barely noticed her — but she sure noticed him. I have a feeling that she’s been mistreated by other cats (one at least, judging by her scratches). He’s rambunctious, but not mean. Thursday (end of Cora’s quarantine) is going to be interesting.

About Adventures in Cat Fostering

I am a cat fosterer for Toronto Cat Rescue. I also have two cats of my own, Jonesy, the black and white, and Murphy, the brown tabby, in the photo. Both were adopted from Toronto Cat Rescue.
