Adorable Archie was picked up by his new family on Tuesday night. Before he was even gone, I had another one lined up.

White/brown tabby, Female
8-10 months
Very small for age; chronic cold in the shelter, scratches on her face especially the right side by bridge of nose, nasal discharge, head tilt.
She is a bright energetic kitten but needs a lot of TLC to improve her poor body condition
Foster must be comfortable medicating (anti biotics and eye drops)

She was delivered last night. Meet Cora:

IMG_2656 Is that not the saddest little face? Or evil. Or both. She’s actually adorable and will be beautiful. But right now she’s very dirty — much more than the photo shows. She has actual dirt on her and her fur isn’t nearly as white as it looks. And she has that rough, malnourished coat. She also has scratches on her face and a terrible cold. Calici virus, again, like Jasmin did. She also has a “head tilt” which may or may not resolve when her cold does. Colds really mess with cats; they can’t smell so they won’t eat and their balance is thrown off. Luckily she’s eating but only watered-down wet food. Her paperwork says she has the mouth sores that come with calici and this time I believe it. Even when she’s clearly hungry she won’t eat the kibble, whereas Jasmin wolfed everything in sight. 😉

She is tiny. She’s not much bigger than Jasmin was at 10 weeks and she’s supposed to be nearly 10 months! She has “adult dentition” according to her paperwork. I hope to god she’s not pregnant and I don’t see how she could be as malnourished and sick as she is. But anything’s possible.

She’s extremely friendly and wants as much petting and loving as I will give her. Oh, and she’s grey, not brown tabby!
